Abbaye de Saint-Savin
Place du la libération

Construction: 2nd half 17th century

The abbey of Saint-Savin was founded at the beginning of the 9th century on the site of the discovery of the graves of two holy Christian martyrs, Savin and Cyprien, died in the 5th century. Construction of the present church dates from the second half of the 11th century (1040-1090). In the 16th century, the abbey narrowly escapes with destruction. The installation of the congregation of Saint-Maur in 1640 allows him to experience a revival: reconstruction from 1682 buildings and the abbey cloister.
